I don’t make a habit of critiquing other people’s gardens because one never knows the circumstances of the people living there. I fully understand that many people are not gardeners and that for others a low maintenance gardening is essential. Lack of mobility, or limited cash, will often mean that many projects are out of the question. People lead busy lives and may not be at home often enough to have the time to devote to outdoor spaces.
But… there is a teeny tiny yard/garden just a few streets from here – perhaps one of the smallest outdoor gardens I have seen – that startles me every time I see it. Most of it is open to the street (I took this picture from the pavement). I pass it often that so it is hard to ignore and every time I pass by makes me wonder about folks in general
